چکیده
It is rare to find tumor of the ceruminous gland, which a modified apocrine gland located within skin external auditory canal (EAC). Syringocystadenoma papilliferum (SCAP) benign adnexal that occurs in head and facial area forms infiltrative macules, papules, or keratinous nodules, but rarely EAC. To date, fewer than 150 case reports SCAP have been reported, with EAC being extremely rare. We report 51-year-old male 2 year-history left mass arising from superior wall performed microscopic surgery, resected via retro-auricular approach under general anesthesia. The histopathological examination confirmed specimen as SCAP. There were no complications recurrence during 4 months follow-up period.

Ceruminous Adenocarcinoma of External Auditory Canal: A Case Report.
The external auditory canal contains ceruminous glands, which are modified apocrine sweat glands, along with sebaceous glands. Tumors that originate from ceruminous glands are very rare; thus, the classification, clinical behavior, and management of these tumors remain debatable. Here we present a case of ceruminous adenocarcinoma arising from the external auditory canal. Although most authors ...

The neoplastic transformation of these structures is very rare and there have been few cases reported in the literature. CASE REPORT Syringocystadenoma papilliferum is one of the rarest tumors among benign tumors aris...

An adenoid cystic carcinoma (AdCC) of the ceruminous glands is very rare; its diagnosis is most often challenging, and simple biopsies may be misleading. Our paper describes a case of a circumferential mass of the left ear canal that was initially reported as a basal cell carcinoma on biopsies in the clinic and on frozen sections intraoperatively. The final pathology was an AdCC of the cerumino...

We present an 87-year-old woman who presented with a reddish, tender, round, soft mass of the outer third of the inferior wall of the left external auditory canal, discharging a yellowish fluid upon pressure.
